The BBC iPlayer app now lets you:
* Download TV programmes to watch on the move
* Watch live on Wi-Fi and 3G/4G
* Catch up on the past 30 days
* Add programmes to watch later
* Sign in to your BBC account to resume programmes across your other devices
* Stream programmes on your TV using Apple AirPlay
* Browse programmes by Schedule, Featured and Most Popular

To give you the best experience, certain details like your search history, watch history and Added programmes may be stored on your device or securely on BBC servers.

To analyse and improve the app, it also uses technologies similar to performance cookies used by the BBC. You can alter your settings for this on your device. We are releasing regular updates to the BBCNews app to optimise performance and enhance the user experience

Get the latest breaking news from the BBC and our global network of journalists.

Stories are arranged in categories including top stories, UK news, world news, politics, business, technology and sport.

The app offers the BBCNews Channel streamed live in the Video tab, social features and personalisation so you can re-order the news categories to suit your interests.

NB Please note that to refresh the app you should pull down on the main content area. See in-app help page for further details.

The BBCNews app offers the following:
– Breaking news
– Top Stories and latest headlines
– Features and analysis
– Live BBCNews Channel
–News clips embedded in stories
– An ‘Edit’ menu to personalise your experience and choose news that interests you
– Share news stories by email, Facebook and Twitter
– Font controls to increase or decrease the story text size to suit you
– Refresh controls to see the latest stories and updates

If you choose to receive push notifications, a unique identifier relating to your device will be stored by ProcessOne on behalf of the BBC to provide you with the service.

No other personal data relating to you (such as a username or email address) is processed. The BBC will keep your information secure and not share it with anyone else in accordance with the BBC’s Privacy and Cookies Policy, available at http://www.bbc.co.uk/privacy. You can choose to unsubscribe from push notifications from BBCNews in your device’s ‘Notifications’ screen.

Wherever you are, and whatever your plans, you’re always prepared with the latest weather forecast from BBCWeather.

FEATURES:
– Search for locations (automatically added to your favourites), or use your current location
– Hourly forecasts with detailed information for the next 48 hrs (UK)
– Look further ahead with 3 hourly detail (UK and International)
– Tap each hour for full detail including Pressure, Visibility and Humidity
– A day overview including Sunrise/Sunset times and UV, with Pollen and Pollution information for the UK
– Use our widget to get an at-glance view of the weather where you are. See the next hour’s forecast, and the next 5 hours in expanded view
– See any Met Office severe weather warnings issued at your location
– Swipe vertically to view all your favourite locations
– Accessibility for users of text to speech and VoiceOver

Note:
If you choose to enable the display of weather at your current location [Settings>Privacy>Location Services], the app will provide you with weather information based upon your current location. Your precise location is kept on your device, and once the app has determined the location of the closest populated location for which weather information is available, your precise location is not accessed by the BBC. No other personal data relating to you (such as a username, email address or unique device identifier) is sent to the BBC. Your information is anonymous, nevertheless the BBC will keep your information secure and not share it with anyone in accordance with the BBC’s Privacy and Cookies Policy, available at https://www.bbc.co.uk/privacy/. You can choose to disable the display of weather at your current location [Settings/Privacy/Location Services/BBCWeather], and then the app will no longer automatically detect your current location.
